I am Associate Professor of Political Science at the Institute of Political Science, Leiden University. I am also Associated Researcher at the Collaborative Research Center “Political Economy of Reforms” (SFB884),  University of Mannheim, where I have served as a co-Principal Investigator of the project ‘Legislative Reforms and Party Competition‘.

I am the Project Leader of the EUINACTION project sponsored by the Norface Network. With co-PIs Goran Glavaš, University of Mannheim, and Zachary Greene, University of Strathclyde, we study the ‘Willingness and Capacity for EU Policy Action in Times of Crisis’.

My teaching spans courses on EU politics and institutions as well as comparative politics and policy-making in Europe.
